Almond and Honey Zabaglione

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint fresh red raspberries
  • 1 pint fresh black raspberries
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Amaretto
  • 1/3 cup toasted sliced almonds

Preparation:

Combine and whisk together the egg yolks, honey and Amaretto in the top of a double boiler set over, but which is not touching, simmering water. A glass pyrex dish may be used as a substitute for the top of a double boiler. Whisk for about five minutes or until the ingredients have quadrupled in volume. Remove from the heat, serve over the berries and add the sliced almonds.
