Espresso Over Ice

An espresso consists of 1 ½ ounces of extremely strong tasting coffee from dark roasted coffee beans. Espresso is made from an electric machine or a stove-top espresso maker.

Ingredients:

  • Double espresso (twice the amount of water and coffee grounds as a single espresso)
  • ½ cup crushed ice
  • Sugar to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream
  • Freshly grated shavings of semi sweet chocolate

Preparation:

Combine the espresso, crushed ice and sugar in a blender until the mixture is frothy. Pour this mixture over ice, top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
